The visual identity for NIC — Núcleo de Integração Cultural was developed for a creative economy and business initiative based in the interior of São Paulo, Brazil. NIC was conceived as a platform to foster cultural businesses, creative entrepreneurship, and professional networks within the cultural and creative economy sector.

The visual identity for NIC — Núcleo de Integração Cultural

The challenge of this project was to create a logo system that could balance creativity and corporate structure, speaking simultaneously to artists, cultural producers, and creative entrepreneurs. The identity needed to feel inclusive and expressive, while maintaining clarity, credibility, and institutional presence.

At the core of the visual concept is a typographic structure that combines solidity with disruption. The bold, geometric letterforms establish authority and professionalism, while the intentional cuts introduce movement, openness, and dialogue. These visual interruptions symbolize integration as an active force — a continuous exchange between artistic practice and business strategy.

Color variations play a strategic role in reinforcing plurality and accessibility. The flexible color system allows the identity to adapt to different contexts, audiences, and communication channels, reflecting NIC as a living ecosystem rather than a fixed brand. The logo functions as a unifying symbol for a movement of artist-entrepreneurs, where culture, business, and collaboration intersect.

This project reflects my approach to visual identity design for cultural institutions and creative economy initiatives, where branding becomes a tool for connection, empowerment, and long-term impact within contemporary cultural landscapes.
